News from Eli Terry

October 17, 2025

Dear Eli Terry Families,
On Tuesday, October 21st, Eli Terry will join schools and communities across the country in celebrating Unity Day! This national event is all about coming together to promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, and to take a stand against bullying.
Unity Day reminds us that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. By wearing orange, we show our collective commitment to creating a school where everyone feels safe, valued, and connected. It’s a visual reminder that when we stand together, we can make our community stronger and more supportive for every student.
We encourage all students and staff to wear orange on Tuesday and to take a moment to reflect on how we can each help make Eli Terry a place where everyone belongs. Together, we can spread kindness and celebrate the power of unity!

Happy Diwali!

On Monday, we join many families in celebrating Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights! Diwali is one of the most important celebrations in Hindu culture and is also observed by many people around the world.
The festival symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil, and it’s a time for families to come together, decorate their homes with lights and candles, share delicious food and sweets, and celebrate hope and new beginnings.
At Eli Terry, we honor and appreciate the rich diversity of our school community. Wishing a joyful and bright Happy Diwali to all who celebrate!

Socktober Donations Needed!

Eli Terry and our 5th grade Student Ambassadors are collecting new socks and undergarments to support Rockville High School senior Tommy Glinski’s, Socktober drive. Our donation boxes are looking a little empty, and we’d love your help! Please consider sending in a donation—every pair makes a difference. Let’s show our Eli Terry spirit and support this great cause!
