Dear Eli Terry Families,
We hope everyone who celebrates is enjoying a fun and safe Halloween night! Whether you’re out trick-or-treating, spending time with family, or enjoying some sweet treats at home, we wish you laughter, joy, and plenty of candy!
As always, thank you for being such an important part of our school community. Have a spooktacular evening — and we look forward to seeing all our students back on Monday, ready to learn and share their favorite Halloween moments!
Stay safe, have fun, and Happy Halloween from all of us at Eli Terry!

A huge thank-you to all of our Eli Terry families and staff for your incredible generosity during Socktober! And a special shout-out to our 5th grade Student Ambassadors for all their hard work!
We are finishing up the last of our counting, but we’re thrilled to share that we’re close to collecting 1,500 pairs of socks for those in need. Your kindness and community spirit truly make a difference! Thank you for helping us warm so many feet and hearts!

Eli Terry will be celebrating Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. It is a tradition at Eli Terry to invite Veterans and Active Military family members (or close friends) to join us for a special school assembly, where our students and staff will honor your service.
Veterans are invited to begin the morning in the cafeteria with coffee and pastries, where you’ll sign in with the principal before we process together into the assembly at 9:30 a.m.
Please plan to arrive in the cafeteria by 9:15 a.m.
If you or a family member is a Veteran and plans to attend our assembly on November 11th, please complete the form below. If you have any questions, contact our music teacher, Susan Leach, at sleach@southwindsorschools.org.
Please complete the form by Tuesday, November 4th.

Each year, Eli Terry Elementary School raises money to support the South Windsor American Legion Post 133 in purchasing wreaths for Wreaths Across America Day in December.
This meaningful event honors and remembers soldiers by placing wreaths on their resting places as a way to say “thank you” and ensure their courage and sacrifice are never forgotten. Each wreath costs $17.00.
To support this cause, we will be holding a special “PJ & Stuffy Day” on Thursday, November 6th.
Students are invited to wear their favorite pajamas and bring a favorite stuffed animal to school in exchange for a donation of at least $1.00.
Every contribution helps us purchase more wreaths and show our appreciation for those who have served.
Thank you for helping our students learn the importance of honor, gratitude, and community service.
