Dear Eli Terry Families,
As we close another incredible school year at Eli Terry, I want to take a moment to thank our students, families, and staff for making this year so special.
This year has been filled with learning, growth, laughter, and countless memories. Our students have worked hard, supported one another, and demonstrated the qualities we hope to see in all Eli Terry learners—curiosity, perseverance, kindness, and a commitment to doing their best. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished.
To our families, thank you for your partnership, encouragement, and support throughout the year. Your involvement and dedication play a vital role in the success of our students and our school community. We are grateful for the trust you place in us each day.
As we look ahead to summer, I encourage everyone to take time to relax, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. I also hope our students continue to read, explore, create, and pursue the interests that bring them joy.
To our fifth graders, congratulations on reaching this important milestone. We are proud of all you have accomplished during your time at Eli Terry and look forward to hearing about your future successes.
On behalf of the entire Eli Terry staff, thank you for a wonderful school year. We wish you a safe, healthy, and enjoyable summer and look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall.
Have a great summer, Eli Terry!

Happy Juneteenth!

Juneteenth is a special day celebrated on June 19. It honors the day when the last enslaved people in the United States learned they were free. Juneteenth is a time to celebrate freedom, learn about our country's history, and remember the importance of treating everyone with fairness, kindness, and respect. It is also a day to celebrate the many contributions and achievements of Black Americans throughout our nation's history.

Summer Curriculum Activities

Please visit the district website for more information regarding summer learning activities. Click here: Summer 2026 Summer Curriculum Activities

Math: Whether you relax, explore or seek adventure over the summer, we encourage you to continue to see math in the world around you. While there is no specific required math work over the summer for students entering kindergarten through 5th grade, we have created playful activities for students to review what they learned in math with their teacher this past school year. These are optional activities. Each includes things that may be done with family and friends. Just a few minutes thinking and talking about math every day will help keep math skills sharp!
Grade Level Activity Calendars
Grade level calendars of activities are provided for students based on the grade they will enter in the fall. These activities are intended to complement the content and skills for math classes. Print off a copy of the July and August calendars included on our math summer curriculum activities page, check off the activities you complete, and bring in the calendars to share with your teacher in the fall. Each attachment also includes book titles and websites that you can visit to play math games or practice mathematical concepts.

End of Year Reading and Math Assembly

Below are photos of students who were recognized as two of our outstanding achievements this school year. One group represents our Top 10 Library Patrons, celebrating students who demonstrated a love of reading and frequent library use throughout the year. The other group includes students in Grades 1–5 who "graduated" from Math Fact Lab, demonstrating mastery of their math facts through hard work and perseverance.
Congratulations to all of these students on their accomplishments—we are so proud of your dedication and effort. Way to go, students!

Please check out the slides from our assembly with a ton of information regarding reading and math summer activities.

Eli Terry Day at SWPL- July 14th at 2 PM

Mark your calendars! Eli Terry Day at the South Windsor Public Library is happening on Tuesday, July 14th at 2:00 PM.
Mr. Kenyon will definitely be there... and you never know who else might show up!
Last summer, Eli Terry Day was the most well-attended day at the library, and we'd love to see another amazing turnout this year. Let's show our Eli Terry pride and come together as a school community for a fun afternoon at the library!
Be sure to wear your favorite Eli Terry gear and join your friends and families. Let's show South Windsor just how awesome the Eli Terry community is! We can't wait to see you there!

Kindergarten Registration Information

South Windsor Public Schools is excited to welcome our 2026 - 2027 Kindergarten class! Your child is about to take an exciting next step in their education. We are looking forward to the beginning of a collaborative partnership between home and school in order to provide a successful transition for both your child and your family.

The South Windsor full-day kindergarten program is available to children who are residents of South Windsor and who are (or will be) age five (5) on or before September 1, 2026.  If your child’s birthday is after September 1, 2026, and you would like them considered for kindergarten this fall, you may fill out the pre-registration form and check the appropriate box and the principal will schedule an assessment to determine if admitting your child would be developmentally appropriate.
