Next week, we will continue our focus on the Engaged attribute of our Portrait of a Terrier by talking about staying focused and managing distractions. Engaged students stay involved in their learning, pay attention to the task at hand, and take initiative to get started even when distractions are around them.
Next Week’s Challenge: We encourage all students to practice staying focused on a task until it is complete and taking initiative to get started without needing a reminder.
Families can reinforce this at home by asking: “How did you stay focused and engaged in your learning today?”
