10/9 News from Eli Terry

South Windsor Public Schools is excited to announce the return of the before & after school STEM clubs for the 2026-2027 school year.  These clubs will be free of charge to all participants.   The purpose of these clubs is to provide an opportunity for our elementary students to participate in STEM enrichment and foster an appreciation for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Please click on the link below for more information and to register your child for a club.

Registration will close next Wednesday, October 14th, at 4:00 PM.

As we continue our focus on being Engaged, next week we are encouraging students to take greater ownership of their learning. Engaged students set goals for themselves, track their progress, and take pride in their growth. Setting a goal helps students think about what they want to accomplish and identify the next steps to get there.

Next week’s challenge: Students in K–3 are encouraged to share one goal they have for the day with their teacher or a classmate. Students in Grades 4–5 are challenged to check in on a personal learning goal, reflect on the progress they have made, and identify their next step.

South Windsor Public Schools is now accepting applications for community peer role models in the preschool outreach program (POP) for the 2027-2028 school year. If you are interested in this opportunity for your child, please complete the Preschool Outreach Program (POP) Inquiry Form. Peer role model screenings will begin in January 2027. You can learn more about POP by accessing our school district's website.
